Most Brazos County property owners may use the Online Appeals portal to file a protest with the Brazos County Appraisal Review Board (ARB). The online appeals process is considered both an informal meeting and formal protest on an account. Please do not file an online appeal and come to the office for an informal meeting. If you want to speak to someone in person or on the phone, please do not file an online appeal.
Online appeals will be reviewed by the appraisal district staff and evidence provided by the property owner will be considered. If requested, an appraiser will generate and send CAD evidence through the online appeals portal and an offer sent if the property owner or CAD evidence indicates a change is value should occur. Accounts not receiving an offer will be scheduled for a formal hearing with the Brazos ARB.
Property owners will need their Owner ID and Efile PIN from the top left corner of their Notice of Appraised Value if using the online portal for the first time. Do Not attempt to use the Property ID as this number will not allow you access to the online appeals portal.
Some properties have been excluded from using the online appeals portal including properties with Undivided Interest ownership. The Notice of Appraised Value will indicate on the top left corner if your account is available for online appeals.

Important Notes:
- When there is a change to the online appeal, an email will be sent to the email address provided. You must login to the online appeals portal to see the updated information.
- If evidence was requested, it will be available AFTER an appraiser has reviewed the protest. An email notification will be sent to inform you the evidence is available.
- A response to the offer of change or no change must be completed within 2 days of the offer being sent to the property owner/agent. If a response is not received within 2 days, the protest will be scheduled for a formal hearing before the Appraisal Review Board.
- If an offer is accepted, the protest is closed and no further action is necessary. If an offer is rejected, a
- formal hearing will be scheduled. (Once an offer is ACCEPTED, it cannot be withdrawn!)
